On Friday, the 16th of September, Indigo Pools began work to prep the pool for Pebble Tec. http://www.pebbletec.com  . The guys blasted out all the loose parts of the former finish, which was Marcite. By the end of the day, it looked like this:

On Monday, the Pebble Tec crew came to spray the finish on, trowel it and wash the finish to expose the pebbles.

The pipe coming up from the bottom is pumping water out from under the pool because the water table is so high from the recent Tropical Storm that the pool could "float" otherwise.

Once there is enough water in the pool, they can stop pumping the ground water out.

Voila! The pool is done and now we're waiting for Steve Johnson to refinish the deck. Next: In Florida, every pool needs a cage!
