The good news - stick it in the ground and it will grow!
More good news - you can dig a hole in seconds! It's sand!
The only bad news - whatever it is has to be trimmed regularly. Things grow fast!
The rest of the good news? Lawn services are abundant in Sarasota and quite reasonable. My wife and I live on an average sized lot and pay $115 a month year-round for weekly services that include mowing, blowing, edging and the trimming of bushes.
In addition, we pay $50 each for eight treatments that take care of bugs, fertilization, and lawn diseases.
We have irrigation that runs off a well (quite common here) that I have found to be easy to maintain myself with a little help from Home Depot, Lowes, and my favorite, a woman named JoAnn at Ace Pump South in Osprey. She knows everything about irrigation!
My wife does the mulching about twice a year.
Our lawn and gardens are beautiful! Yours will be, too!
